First vox try/Metalcore mix with new pre amp

This is really embarrassing, but the only way I have at the moment to practice vocal mixing is recording my self through a crappy unpowered mic. I know I'm not good at singing or screaming, just help me out withe the mix please. I think the screams sound alright, but there's something missing. I'm completely unhappy with the clean vocals. I honestly have no idea how to make either fit in the mix. Also feel free to just rate the mix/tones in general. I've been doing this for 3 weeks so I'm still fairly new. Anyways, thanks for the input, and I apologize again for my horrible vocals. Here it is:

the vox aren't bad man. first step, are you using any compression at all?

I think the screaming sounds decent but the cleans don't pop or fit into the mix at all.

Its hard to say because they are getting buried a little, but they sound kinda dry. If you are using a limiter you should drive the imput gain harder. I like to use a compression like 3:1 to level it, then eq and reverb, and then slam it against a limiter.
