Flawless "Still Life" CDs available?

I think this issue has been discussed in this forum, but a search yielded nothing, so I must ask...

On my Still Life CD, Serenity Painted Death ends abruptly, the result of a mastering error I believe. Are there any versions or pressing which don't have this flaw? Any way to find and identify flawless editions?

Opeth had that abrupt ending on purpose to sort of jar the listener. Mike had faded out the last couple of songs and he didn't want to do it again.

Dammit why did he have to do that, it annoys the hell out of me! He didn't have to fade it out, I hate fade outs too, he could at least wrap up with an imperfect cadence or something, that would be appropriately gr1m.

I swear I've read a credible source saying it was a mastering problem not apparent on the firts import version. But then again, that could be wrong. And then again this is a credible source too.

A lot of people have asked us about the ending of "Serenity painted death"...yes, it was meant to be there! Nobody seems to think it's cool apart from myself and the band.

I love the way it ends abruptly like that. Gives me a feeling of sudden loss, just like the narrator of the story experiences in that song.
