I thought a few songs from Cuatro were interesting such as Double Zero and Secret Square.Does Drift have any similar ideas?

Drift has more melodic moments than Cuatro Pick a window is cool Its worth a listen And tho its no Cuatro its still a pretty good album ....... I love Secret Square

NO :) its the only album by them that sounds like that Each album has its own charm If I was to recomend My Favorite Flots albums I would say to get Cuatro, My God, High, Unnatural Selection, And drift The rest you can Live with out IMO

I have been listening to Flots since day one. In my opinion, here is the quintessential order..

Me too. I still have Doomsday on vinyl from when it first came out.

Yeah, the guitarist from my first band had it on vinyl. He never played it, but I borrowed it all of the time!

Had to get the cassette because it had the bonus Flotzilla track!

Now they are all on my shelf on cd.

Rare breed indeed are we.

Could talk all day about F & J.

I've seen them three times. First time on Cuatro tour w/Nudeswirl opening.
Second time @ San Antonio Metalfest on Unnatural Selection tour. Third time w/ James Rivera on lead vocals for the My God tour. That show was fucking fantastic!!!

Wow...looking at the previous postings...I guess my opinion will be in the minority...

I think Drift is their best album...period.

Having said that, I need to say that I have been an F&J fan since the beginning, and I have all the albums.

Something about that album...just has intensity...anger...real passion and motivation behind the songs. I play it for people who want to hear a kick-ass metal band, and I play it for people who have no knowledge of F&J, and it always hooks 'em.

Cuatro was a great album as well...hell...they're all good...kinda disappointed in everything after Drift...seemed like they were trying too hard to re-create past inspiration. My God was pretty cool, though.

It's a shame they couldn't carry on, though...such a history.

Oh well...my two cent's worth.

I'm not a fan of that record. I wouldn't pick that one up. I owned & burned me a copy just to have in case I forgot how awful that one was...
I do however Love Cuatro. Excellent disc that NEVER got the attention it was due...

nope. their MCA-days (that album is one of them) aren't real good. i like 2 of them quite a bit (Drift and When the Storm Comes Down), but they are nothing like their first 2 :)
