Most hard drives come with their own warranty, you can post them back to the manufacturer over what is normally the first two years and get them replaced. Make sure and check this if Newegg doesn't hold up for you!

Yup! Contacted Western Digital and I'm under warranty yet. They should be sending me a replacement and I think I'm going to go for gold and get an SSD as well.

I also have 2 more fans and a bigger heatsink to install as well.

Have you ever moved your computer around while it is on?
Or has it been knocked about (by accident) while it was on?
Hard drives can only handle a certain amount of force before they fuck out.
However, SSD hard drives can handle a lot more force.

Nope, never moved it while it was on.

I have moved it, shit, maybe 15 times or so while it was off. Back and forth from home to the practice space for drum recording.

It's all good to move while it's not on. Sweet, if that was the problem then it could happen again. So I was just checking

Should be getting my SSD today.

I got my replacement 500GB HDD 2 days after I sent in the RMA.

Ended up with a Seagate 120GB SSD.
