Focusrite Liquid Saffire 56

Got a quesiton for anyone who has one of these boxes, or anyone who knows the answer.

I've read this interface doesn't have standalone mode. So if I want to use its pres and converters, I can still use the ADAT Out option, as long as the Saffire is plugged in via firewire, correct?

I want to get one of these, but I need to make sure it can hook up to a Profire 2626 and record into ProTools

Just asking the guys at Focusrite would be your best bet, I've got a couple of mates over there and what they don't know about the gear they make ain't worth knowing!!

I would say YES, although I don't know how Pro Tools would react, if both interfaces is connected to the same computer. If you've got different computers with the Saffire and the PT, I am sure you can use the ADAT out on the Saffire and in to the PT rig. I just got my Saffire today, and it seems to be a VERY nice unit.
