Folk Metal recs

Hey all,

I have been listening to a lot of folk metal recently (Blackguard and Alestorm to name a couple). I would appreciate it very much if you guys had any good folk metal recommendations for me to check out.

Eluveitie -Slania is awesome folk metal.

You may like Crimfall, I personally think they are awesome but some folks find the "gothy" influences a bit much. what ever a gothy influence is anyway.

Adorned Brood is another decent folk outfit.

Nerthus - black medieval art is the best black metal folk I have heard in a long time. The rest of their albums do not appeal to me mind.

Primordial - to the nameless dead is an excellent album.

Waylander - The Light , The Dark and the Endless Knot. Is another great album.

Folkodia, Falchion and wolfchant also get a mention. There really is a heap of talent emerging in the folk metal scene . I didnt spend time trying to explain each band and in the age of youtube opinions are irrelevant. You can hear the stuff in the same time it takes to read this post.

Anyway have fun exploring them. I will pop up more names as inspiration takes me.
