For once, a Maiden thread

Has anyone heard the "orchestral" mix of Dance of Death or the electric version of Journeyman and are they worthwhile downloading? They're the only tracks out of all the recent remixes that even faintly interest me.

The one about them headlinging Livid? Well, apparently, the international touring circuit is so devoid of quality bands at the moment that Livid won't be going ahead.

In answer to your questions though. Yes, and yes. At least the electric version of The Journeyman, even if just for curisoity purposes. The acoustic version is better though.

I'd like to hear the electric version of Journeyman, and Nicko's version of Age Of Innocence.
The 'orchestral' versions don't interest me much, because I can't see Steve Harris not fucking them up.

I believe that's the case. They recorded it electric first, then said "Why don't we try this acoustic?", so they did, and the acoustic one ended up on the album.

I really wish they'd do an acoustic album. Unfortunately they're not the most experimental band around. Surprised they haven't gone the orchestral route yet though.

I have heard a few people say they would like to hear Maiden do an accoustic album, I think the idea is pretty weird. I think if they did it could turn out great, as they could probably write and play that style well and Bruce sounds great singing over accoustic stuff, but the idea doesn't quite sit that well with me. Hmm.

Somehow I can't corelate the name Iron Maiden with an acoustic album. It's like a band called Metallica doing a rock album, or something.
