Megadeth which seems to have a special predilection for Argentina has played a surprise acoustic concert in one of the parks of the city of Buenos Aires (btw my mother took me there several times as a kid :D), Plaza Francia.
Since it was an impromptu gig only around 100 people showed up, mostly because they were waiting for the band in their hotel to see them/asking for an autograph (and they got lucky).

So I found this on a Spanish site and decided top share with the people here. Since the show was filmed may be included in the future in some DVD. Only Dave and Glen played acoustically the following set:

Trust
Angry Again
Use the Man
Sweating Bullets
She-Wolf
Holy Wars
In My Darkest Hour
A Tout le Monde
Symphony of Destruction

Also I'm adding links to some more pics taken on that day (October 8th)

I have some MP3s from a previous bootleg acoustic presentation of Megadeth in Argentina back in the "Countdown To Extinction" tour. I suppose this one was damn cool too.

And more from Dave:

I told you earlier tonight that I was gonna let all of you know first before the rest of the world what our decision was - whether or not we were gonna continue with MEGADETH or not"

"The answer is yes."

"MEGADETH will continue"

The whole "Megadeth will continue" thing is what has my interest. They are one of my top 2 favorite bands. I am very concerned as to how this will carry out. Like, what direction are they going in now, if the Drover bros. experience in Eidolon will bring anything good to the table, etc...

I think it's cool for them to do stuff like that.I would love to see them sit down with a couple acoustic guitars and sing a few songs in the park. I am also glad they are going to continue. I think the Drover boys will light a new spark in Dave and the band Megadeth. The last album was pretty good, in the right direction. I only see the next one being better with these guys on board.

This also means there will more than likely be a Gigantour 2. Which will be cool. Hopefully he gets some Euro bands on it next year.

I have heard several Deth "acoustic" performances, while their material doesn't lend well to the "unplugged" treatment, I would like to hear how he'd do some of the newer material acoustically...

They did a bunch of acoustic sets in 98 for Crypic Writings & again in 01 for TWNAH... mainly radio shows to hype the albums. I thought the unplugged treatment was pretty damn cool (although the material on Crypic Writings got old pretty quick). I find the unplugged sets most interesting for the "heavier" bands, since the songs sound radically different.

This latest unplugged show looks pretty cool. I'm dyin' to hear Holy Wars and Darkest Hour unplugged!!
