COWELL WILL NOT MAKE ANY MONEY FROM RATM SALES!!!

Sorry, I've just been hearing this all week and it's annoying because it just isn't true. Yet people insist on spreading this misinformation.

His label is a part of Sony, but he does not own Sony or any shares in it! Sony have confirmed to channel 4 that SC will not make any money from RATM's sales.

Those of you who are surprised by this result, please raise your hand so I can proceed to burst into uproarious laughter at you.
They weren't exactly up against stiff competition. Joe McTalentlessGeordieCuntFromTheX-Factor vs Rage. Come the fuck on.

Having said that, I'll take rage as xmas number one over that cunt any day.

Nah, they were up against the advertising power of Simon Cowell and 4 months of TV programs geared towards selling one song and it getting the no 1. The talent is shite yes, but it still shifted nearly half a million units.

I still think this was pretty damn pointless. The X-Factor singles shifted anyway. Why should that Powell dude even care? He makes money from shifted units, not chart positions. RATM must be laughing their asses off and it's a win-win for Sony.

yeah, even though it won't change anything, i have to admit it is strangely refreshing hearing something being announced as christmas number 1 that isn't the x-factor winner, and i guess that's the point overall. i doubt anyone cares that simons still made money, its just so we can feel like we arent having the piss taken out of us year in year out
