Heya everyone!

We are beginning to get the site ready for the big move to new (more modern) forum software. It's scary even thinking about it with a site this large...but it will be worth it in the end.

You may notice some quirkiness here and there as we go through this process (will be over the course of weeks - lots of testing and cleaning house to do). If something looks funny, no worries. If something isn't working like it normally does, no worries.

I urge everyone to "like" or connect with us on your preferred social network so you can keep up to date with what we're doing. Also feel free to leave feedback on things you'd like to see.

That all said - wish us luck! This will be a daunting process, but in the end the site will function better than ever.

Everytime I give a date, something bad happens... haha.

Users and settings were successfully imported (took forever).

I am working on the theme now and it's going very well. I don't think there's anyway around the fact that it will be a "drastic change" but I may just flip the switch and tweak from there in the next 30 days.

If you want to see an "out of the box" version of the framework I am using check here:

http://www.audentio.com/demo/xf/index.php (I will have multiple themes available, light, dark, etc.).

Obviously we have a lot more forums here, so I am deciding how to display that and not have it look like chaos.

Here is a site running a tweaked version of that framework: http://forums.macrumors.com/

The upside is, it's going to have all the modern conveniences - tagging people, likes, social tie in, etc etc.

It's been a ridiculously long process but we're almost there...
