I can honestly tell you that this clip of the Herbert is probably the worst sounding guitar tone I've heard in a while. It has nothing to do with my GAS, quite the contrary.

The fact that I can't get my Orange Rockerverb tone out of the Ultra sucks. The Axe-II has EQ controls that react like the real EQ knobs on the amps where as the first generation Axe-Fxs have EQ knobs that react in a different way. F.ex. in the Orange the bass and middle knob work together which is not the case in the Ultra. So scooping the Citrus sounds NOTHING like scooping a Rockerverb which sounds awesome with endless sustain.

That's why I'm thinking about maybe wanting the II. But seriously... I dunno if I trust Cliff when he says that... no offence to him in any way. I think I'm just going to explore the other amp sims and try to find an amp that has a similar tone as my Rockerverb.

I used to have a Herbert. I sold it to buy my Axe-FX II, cause I liked it better.
