Frank's Bass

Something I noticed, because I have NO life. This is the picture that Fender.com gives you of Frank's signature bass;

BUT this is a pic of the bass that Frank has been using on stage for some time now;

They appear to be the same (spare Franks's homage to dime and sticker) BUT if you look close, the bass in the live pic has an ivory-ish trim around it. Which I think is really sweet! I was actually thinking of picking one of these basses up, but, I would like one so much more with that sweet trim! Doesn't look like the one you can actually buy has it though. Wo is me!

I think there is a white binding on the top picture, look closely at the inside of the horns - i think its just hard to see because of the white background

Ya, it's the samething. You just don't notice the ivory on the White Background.
I wonder who won the Contest for this, I know it wasn't me?

I called them and they said that yes it does have a white trim around it. You just cant see it in the pictures.

Frankie also has a second version which is white with a black trim. There is also a small drawing of himself on the back of the headstock.

I'd like it if it had the "big block" inlays instead of the regular dots, and big tuning heads. I know it's just a stupid thing but I hate bassess with dots in the neck and those big flower tuning heads.
