Frantic Bleep reviews

Cool review from thedarkesthours.com

Norway's Frantic Bleep just blew me away at first listen! Their ultra dark progressive metal sound unique. Imagine a mix of Cynic, Amorphis, Arcturus, Neurosis + a very dark touch and a big progressive influence.Sometimes It can sound very heavy, sometimes very gothic, sometimes space, prog, etc. You got a lot of different feelings when you're listening to this record. It's a journey into the unknown. Creepy vibe, beautiful melodies. The guitar work as been well done. Heavy sound, technical riffs well played. Good samples, keyboards that create this unique vibe. On top of that you got a diversified vocals ranging from clean voice to death voice. The clean one if my favorite because it fits perfectly with the weird space vibe. The song structures are unique, it's avant-garde and it sounds totally fresh to me. Those guys got huge writting skills and the execution is perfect! Those songs have a soul! By the way, the artwork is very special. Nice print, nice concept idea. A top notch product!

Bra Øyvind!

Btw,how was the inferno gig Lee? Did the madders kick ass?

I liked that one! Quote:"If prior albums from The End by Peccatum, Arcturus, Winds, Age of Silence and Madder Mortem bored you with their overly artistic facades, Frantic Bleep is just for you." Ha ha,not bad...

Hmm.. I didn't buy the mag either but it basically said that the whole Norwegian "avant garde" thing has been done to death and that you were deliberately trying to be "weird".

Total balls, obviously. I have a feeling this guy will be kicking himself one year from now when he finally gets it.
