Put the songs in their complete version on myspace and then charge $5 for the album.
Pressing will cost you about $1.50 for a CD
Shipping should cost around $2 (I am not familiar with US prices).
That will give you a $1 to $1.50 gain per record. And $5 for an album is still cheap as fuck.
I just see how hard it is for bands to gain great publicity without a record label. I have been making electro music for 2,5 years (!) only and thanks to my record label have had 2 pages stories including full page photos in all the major scene magazines. Obviously if the music was shit, it wouldn't help, but I wonder where I'd be without that exposure and "just" myspace ...
