I came home for lunch today and the first thing I see on the news is this story about Freegans........................FREEGANS.
These people eat and live off of trash,

TMann,when I was 23 I lived in a tent in the woods for about 11 months in the mountains of northern New York because I had no place to live . I survived by fishing and stealing and eventually I found a job, and worked my way up to where I am now. It is possable to come back from nothing .I know that..................thats why I cant feel sorry for people like that.

I survived by fishing and stealing and eventually I found a job, and worked my way up to where I am now. It is possable to come back from nothing .I know that..................thats why I cant feel sorry for people like that.

Cool story, Old School. I never lived in a tent but I had a job that was literally 3.3 miles away and I walked the distance quite regularly (at least 3 times a week) and I did it, just because to me that was the only option I had. I had to pay for a living situation that was not of my doing, but nonetheless I had to do it. The worst was walking home at 3:30 A.M. in early February where it was about 15 degrees outside AND I had a very light jacket.


Well, without giving you my life story, I'll say now that I have a high amount of respect who actually work to do better for themselves. There are too many people who are looking for a handout with no sense of self-respect.


If I had to assume about T-Man, I would say that he was talking about people who are disabled and really CAN'T work anywhere. Those people you just have to pity.

BUT... I have NO respect for grown-ass men with NO disabilities walking up to me and asking me for money! Go fuck your mother, you worthless bum.

That´s basically why I almost never give money to begging scumbags on the street. I mean, there are few who don´t have legs or so, that sucks, but I meet drunken fucks begging for the money on a daily basis. I mean, you have legs, you have arms, you can see, you can fucking WORK, so go find a fucking job or let me kick your fucking ass. Once I read HOW MUCH these assholes actually earn per day and I was pretty stoked.

I used to work in this white trash grocery store when I was in high school. I was livid after a week or so. I had never seen so many people on welfare that did not deserve to be. I agree that if you have a physical ailment or mental illness or are an old person that can't get by or get a job then sure, you shouldn't work but the amount of trash that I seen that had ZERO problems just made me so friggin mad. I think it should only be used by seniors, handicapped and people that are obviously messed up in the head and if they aren't they should only be allowed to use it for so long( everyone falls on hard times now and again) and be drug tested until they do find a job....My state has enough of a budget problem to be supporting bums
