I have a Schecter Demon 6 (No FR)..
Bought it used..
Had some buzzing with the shitty thin strings (that was badly put on)..

So I've changed the strings.. but it was still buzzing..
I raised the saddle, still had buzzing and the action was too high..
So.. I raised the nut about 0.32mm. and loosened the trussrod a bit..
That solved the buzzing..
Now I have a action of ~7.. I'd like to lower it to at least 4mm..
But I can't, since the saddle is as far down as it can go..

The buzzing is located around the 3 - 4 first frets..
How much can I raise the nut before I fuck the guitar up tonally?

I have 0.13 set on..
So:
Loosen the truss = less buzz = ~7mm action
Tighten the truss = more buzz = about 4mm action

What do?
Raise the nut more?
I'm using copper strips for insulation, they fit perfectly and they are 0.08mm thick, I've used 4 now (0.32mm)

Don't have the coins to turn it in to a luthier (broke)!

Well, I raised the nut with a piece of creditcard..
That did the trick I hope, it sounds alright.. hopefully it'll work when I change the strings for my upcoming guitar recording..
