fretless question

i just sanded down my fender prophecy II 4-string about an hour ago. it came out a lot better that i thought i would have.
DO I REALLY NEED TO PUT AN EPOXY ON THE FINGER BOARD? (roundwound strings or not)

No, epoxy is not necessary, and often times it is more of a hassle than it's worth.
Check out my post in the defretting thread. Polyurethane is an easier way to get a smooth finish
