Greeetingz

now iknowz teh Shit talkinig hat has beez goin' down aginast SLipgaot on dis msg bored so me and my friend Daryl who iz better than that Michel Lagerfeld anyway on the guitar, dat man haz da skills.

Letz look at da facts yeah? Slipnot sells millionz of copies of ONE ALBUm, OPef sell like 90 copies of all their albumz. Also you could fit all the Slipnote songs into one OPef song coZ they are so long and boring!! I have A.D.D. And I can't sit around for 13 minutesZ and watch Deliverence on da Laments DVD with that Jennifer Lopez on drumz, who btw is sHit compared to Joeyz Jordiinsons, just watch the revolving drum kit on YouTube yeah?

Secondly they are heaviest band on the interwebz for surez. Their new singlez is proper death metal and doesnt have pussy weepy vocals like Jean Michelle Akerjarres in it. Will the children cry? Only whenz they listenz to Izolation YearZ!

Thirdly, no-one playz fast guitarz in the band. Any we all no fazt is the bestest so Mick 7 is clearly powns on teh Fred Axl-Foleysonz.

Forfly, they makez da mistake of creating da synth soundz live when they could pre-record dat shit and drop in tru a phat sound system like Slapsnot do wit teh DJ Sid. He iz best DJ in the world and I have all his solo albumz as well, they make my Ford Escort vibrate wit the basz innit.

What waz the question?

You are a God

Actually if you apply a Laplace Transform on the Affine series of the intervals in Ghost of Perdition you can generate Wait and Bleed.

Make of that what you will.

Agreed. Any modern prog composer would jump at the chance to use poly-amorous cadences to inject a little 'spice' into their otherwise boring metal structures.

Funny you should mention that, because just today I was listening to Slipknot and it struck me how I had never noticed that the poly-amorous cadences so wonderfully put to use in Wait and Bleed actually serve as a three-pronged commentary on the final third of the song Ghost of Perdition, pertaining to the unexpected modulations found within said song and its influence on Silphnot's 1979 self titled debut album - an album which also stands up well upon applicaton of a Laplace Transform on the Affine series.

I believe it was Phillip Lahm that postulated the first theory of the Laplace; the ability to morph a song using a minimum of 3 cadences into another that is completely different. I would personally love to hear some mash-ups of Opeth and Slipknot songs:

Wait and Be Knighted

Surfacing of Melinda

Duality Demon of the Fall

etc.

Agreed, needs more Cowbell. Make it deep like the Motley Crue one.

Lucifuge there are two things i believe in: Discipline, The Bible and Joey Jordisonz. Also Wait and Bleed sounds like Living La Vida Loca by Ricky Martin. have you ever noticed that you dont ever see Corey Taylor and Ricky Martin in the same room? Spooky....could it really be!?
