Your friends, you know the ones I'm talking about, those ones who live and die by whatever is being played on Video Hits or Triple M. And they always go on how about how they want Jenifer Love Hewitt.

With their musical tastes, do you respect them? Have no respect? See they as absolute tools for being sucked in by marketing and advertising.

And do you see them as potential Metal fans, except they've never heard any 'decent music'?

I guess I'm just wondering.

I appologise if this makes no sense.

I don't bother trying to convert people into listening to decent music. I like mainstream music enough to be able to talk about it with the uneducated masses fairly well, though, so I don't detest them *too* much for their musical tastes.

Noone I know in "real life" likes any of the stuff I do. Which just goes to prove how much smarter I am than everyone :D :) :)

Some of my friends I respect for their tastes, even if its not metal, as I know they like what they like and haven't been suckered into whatever trend is going around, but other I know are like that (trendy) and it shits me up the wall.

I don't know hardly any people that like the same shit as me....I only have like one friend that does, and a couple of other friends who like metal, but not really the same bands...

Most of my friends like pop-rock, and laugh at Smoke on the Water calling it SIMPLE... when pop-rock even less complicated...

One guy likes Slipknot and Numetal and cant damn accept that it is POP MAINSTREAM stuff... he thinks Slipknot are Death Metal for fecks sake...

THAT shits me...

And it shits me that he says "Oh, he just likes OLD metal, get into the 2000's Cale..."...

Just because I dont care for Numetal, doesn't mean I don't like NEW metal...

The damned bitchwhore...

I wouldn't mind Jennifer Love Hewitt :) She's well above the standard of what I could get anyway LOL so I wouldn't be complaining!

Most of my friends love heavy metal. As in power metal, thrash, classic metal, hard rock etc... and some who love death and black metal even though I'm not into that. And I've been getting lots of people into glam also :)

In high school nobody did though.

I don't bother trying to convert anyone I know who isn't already a metal head. It's a waste of time, energy and oxygen.
They have no respect for anything I listen to, so why should I show them the same courtesy? Fools!

I wouldn't mind Jennifer Love Hewitt either, provided I can have Christina Aguilera for dessert ;).

My next door neighbour is in a blues band , he hates metal with a passion , but the funny thing is his brother is still into metal but I don't really know him that well , my other neighbour is really into it ........I consider him a good friend , we went to the Destruction gig on the weekend here in CANBERRA.

A funny story about the tickets to the gig the other neighbour (whos in the Blues band ) got them on thursday from Impact records in Civic at the same time he also got a cuople of blues CD"s really rare sort of stuff , so walks up to pay for them and also says 2 Destruction Tickets plaese , got a rather fuuny look from the guy behind the counter.........

for some realllllllllllly sad reason most of my mates take what i say a gospel so they listen to everything i do..or tell 'em to listen to.

Like i say they are a sad lot :loco:
