It is a good album. I should really give it another listen, for it's been a while. I find these days though that I don't like Hetfield's vocals very much, which lessens my enjoyment. I much prefer his voice from when he was young, but it's pretty pointless thinking about it until I get a time machine.

Haha yes, I did think that after I posted it. His voice had so much energy back then. Having said that, I prefer most singers' younger voices, once their voices mature anyway. Still, I shall give Death Magnetic another crack, as well as putting their 80s stuff back on.

I often enjoy the maturity that comes with a singers voice ageing. The problem with Hetfield is that he can often sound like he is parodying himself.
