FROM WINTER'S GRACE

Metal Evilution will now represent young and talented Orange Metal act FROM WINTER'S GRACE.
A mixture of melodic and dark symphonic elements show that the band is walking with no trends and has at this early stage their own sound.Influences are:
Nightwish, Within Temptation, Leave's Eyes, Xandria, Midnattsol, Finntroll amongst many.
After only 2 appearances at Metal Evilution shows the guys and gal in F.W.G. proved above and beyond that they were very suitable to the M.E. family and have the right amount of talent and attitude to leave a future mark on the Oz Metal scene.
Keep your eyes and ears out for them.Debut CD currently being recorded.

Indeed. New vocalist name is Natalie and she did an exceptional job on Sat given that she has only been in the band for about a week.
She has an amazing voice and is a more than capable replacement for original vocalist Heather.
Please come down to Utopia records on Sat June 27th and support her on her second show. It's an afternoon FREE ALL AGES show with DARKER HALF and BLACKENED.Well worth a visit i say.:headbang:

DREADNAUGHT (VIC)
SWITCHBLADE
BE’LAKOR (VIC)

DARKER HALF
FROM WINTER'S GRACE

Date: Saturday, August 8
Venue: The Bald Faced Stag
Address: 345 Paramatta Rd., Leichardt
Entry: $15
Doors: 8:00pm

Since their inception more than 15 years ago, Melbourne’s DREADNAUGHT have firmly established themselves as a cornerstone of the Australian heavy rock scene. Having treaded the fine line between rock and metal for the majority of their career, the launch of their latest album ‘[D->0]’ sees Dreadnaught traversing decidedly heavier territory. Proclaimed by metalobsession.net as “undoubtedly their most well rounded and complete release to date… the best release of their career… a highlight of the year so far”.

Sydney's SWITCHBLADE are no strangers to the Australian metal scene. After wrapping up a hugely successful national tour for the release of their second album "Invictus Infinitum", the band are back to show their hometown Sydney crowd why the album is being hailed as "one of best Australian metal releases for this year" (blistering.com) and "easily one of the most accomplished Australian metal releases of this decade." (Loud Australia Magazine) Mixed in the USA by Grammy Award winning producer Neil Kernon and featuring a blistering guest solo by Nevermore's Jeff Loomis, "Invictus Infinitum" is in stores now through AmpHead Music.

They are joined on the night by the dark, melodic death metal band from Melbourne- BE’LAKOR. Having quickly come to be regarded as one of Australia’s more promising and creative metal acts, they draw influences from the natural world and the perpetual struggle between destruction and life. Be’lakor creates songs that take the listener on a compelling journey. Their highly anticipated second album, Stone’s Reach, was released on June 20 through Prime Cuts Music/Riot and this marks the Sydney leg of their Stone’s Reach Australian tour.

Also playing on the night are the amazing DARKER HALF and FROM WINTER'S GRACE!

Those who follow our movements frequently will have noticed that not a whole lot has happened with FROM WINTER'S GRACE.
This Symphonic Metal band from Orange showed great promise a year ago but has since been on a steady decline mostly caused by a revolving door of line up changes.
The band has now been semi put on ice with no immediate plans to reactivate it. It seems to be a sad story for a very promising band but one that is often all too frequent in the world of music.
Metal Evilution wishes to thank all past and current members of FWG for their involvement with us and wish them all the best for the future should the band get up on it's legs again at some point.
Now things have a way of balancing themselves out so why we wave goodbye to theses guys you'll have noticed a brand new and exciting addition to our roster.
If not then check the sticky's at the top of the page.:)

Also anyone on this board with a band/project looking for a female vocalist with a powerful vocal range should drop me a PM.
Ex FWG vocalist Natalie is searching for a new band so if your looking at Power/Prog, Gothic tinged or punchy Hard Rock music she could fit in very well and be a great asset to your band.
I'd hate to see that talent go to waste.
