Bought these a few years ago and have hardly used them.

In excellent as new condition and perfect working order.

I would keep hold of them but I just haven't had enough time on my hands to use them and don't think I will for some time so may as well let them go and give someone on here the chance to put these excellent mic preamp modules to good use.

These are 500 series, classic 312 microphone preamplifier modules for use in an API lunchbox or similar.. The preamp is essentially an exact recreation of the legendary API 312 preamp circuit that has become the benchmark for the API sound.


I have 6 of these excellent mic preamp modules in total for sale.
£300 each.
Shipping costs dependent on how many modules you wish to purchase and location.

Each module comes with a Classic API GAR2520 DOA op amp installed.
The DOA is a nine transistor amplifier modeled after API’s legendary, mid ‘70’s, Studio Systems/Huntington era 2520.

I hate to be "that guy" but I've built two of these - the parts cost is about $280 and shipping can't be more than $50 to the UK; can I ask the justification for charging $480?

They charge around $535 for assembled modules excluding the op amp.

These are full build modules complete with op amps.

Also you can get stung for import duty like i did when purchasing them which can add even more onto the total cost of just getting the parts.

My apologies, I didn't realize the build cost was so much; $280 with assembled opamp for the kit is a hell of a deal at that price point then. Carry on!
