yep, that price is in Euros... for one 8050A. meaning the price offered here is a grand or more US cheaper than a new pair of 8050A monitors.

For what it's worth I auditioned a pair of 8040As the other day and they sounded like potentially better monitors than the Focal Twin 6s that were next to them. Less forward in the high mid, more flat and detailed in the lower mid sector. They weren't what I normally consider Genelecs as sounding like. The lows were a bit untight for my own purposes (the room wasn't great so I'm sure that was a factor) but all in all it seems like a worthy monitor line. You could definitely make it work for you. That's for all you guys considering this purchase.

Same here. My school has two Genelec surround systems with 8050's in the front and they're pretty incredible.
