nah, I didn't restring it this time (actually complained about the very same thing to the band who did it ;) ).
usually I have 3-4 windings on the plain strings and 2-3 on the wound strings.
I'll of course set the guitar up with new strings for optimum intonation etc before shipping it.
it's set up for C standard now, using beefy slinkys, if you wanna use a different tuning or so please tell me so.

guitar has been sent (again).
shipping was 85€ uninsured (insured it would have been like 250).
so everyone keep your fingers crossed that it won't get lost or damaged...I'm nervous.
the case (TKL) should protect it from damage though, please tell me that the Australian DHL (or equivalent) are good at NOT loosing things.
The guitar should be at your place in about 11 days.

According to the tracking number it is now en route to me. Hopefully arrives in 3-4 more days. Lasse, could you please pm me the outstanding amt :)

How many more euro do I owe ya. I'm on the road so I can't get to my bank to check the international transfers I've made and they don't show up on Internet banking.

lasse sorry to go off topic:oops: the way you strung the the guitar with only one wrap around the tuning pegs, did it stay in tune?

I got taught this method in college ( yeah i know college, but tbf this module was the best one ) by the owner of Overwater Basses

And in my own experience, although i always check the tuning, i barely ever have to retune my instruments... the less wraps around the tuning peg is better because there is less of the string to keep in tune... if you get what I mean

Great success!!! It arrived just before. Kinda glad the delivery man always comes uber early for once so I didn't miss it. Guitar was in perfect condition, internal compartment of case was broken though. First thing I noticed was the neck was alot fuller than my jem and other guitars, which made me feel less like a man for having played on them. Came with a shirt, and spare set of machine heads. Were they the original lasse, or ones to replace the grovers? Action was set up great. Packed really safe. Mega stoked.

Just wish I didn't walk into that spider web on the way out to the gate half asleep. Back to bed. Shred later :D

glad it arrived safely, bummer about the case though, really sorry :(
the machineheads that are on there right now are the original ones, the planet waves are really cool though, no clippers etc needed, just put the string through the hole, tighten screw and the string will be clipped atomatically after 1/4 turn of the knob.
yeah, the neck is rather fat, guess that helps with the sound and sustain a lot.
now go and play it through an amp, I think it's safe to say that you won't be touching your JEM anymore after that ;)
Imagine a strat with the punch, balls and sustain of a les paul but the clarity of a very good ESP..and then a bit better
