Fuck. Can't get tiger to install.

New mac came with Leopard. Leopard isn't compatible with PT (they need to hurry the fuck up) so I need Tiger. I have a full install DVD (new one not the one that came with my powerbook).

Anyone know what could be the problem? It's a quad core powermac G5 2.5.

Just goes into a kernel panic when I try to get it going (tried both clicking the install icon and restarting holding "c" button down). Also: I have made sure the firmware is updated.

Maybe the new firmware prevents you from running Tiger? I've heard that people have been able to get PT working in Leopard. Give it a try?

Success! I have cubase LE 7.3.1 running without a hitch with the mbox2 on Leopard! It recognizes all 4 processors and runs GREAT!

I have not installed any additional plug ins yet though so I will keep anyone interested posted. I think this is where I may run into trouble.

Well almost success. I have not had issues registering and running 3rd party plugs. I have however not gotten the core audio driver to go for midi. But this is kind of a non problem at the moment so it's all good!

Well like I said I keep getting an error message reguarding the coreaudio driver and midi. So it's not working in that reguard but everything else is ace.

So as soon as digi comes out with the proper driver it's all good.
