How in the hell can I do the symbol for at when there's all these crazy symbols? I can't even send an email cause I can't figure it out...and there's this { instead of the ' so every time I want something with an apostrophe I have to search for the damn key! Sorry, just venting my American frustrations....
But really does anyone know what combination of shift control...whatever keys give me the symbol for at?

ha! I figured it out! @@@@@@@@ So there!:p And actually different keyboards have a different combination of keys...for example..the one that I'm on right now uses alt gr + q....Anyway...thanks

and for me it's Alt Gr + 0
but in France (as in some other countries) we have our own keyboards, because we need a lot of keys who are useless in english ... in france we have the "accents" é ç è à ... germans and scandinavians country have other characters too, i think each non english speaking country has his own keyboard
we speak too complicated language :)

but why do you don't use a standart american keyboard ?

Yeah, fire up the control panel and set your keyboard layout to US (or equivalent).

At one point, when I was getting to know different programming languages, I used the US keyboard layout because I found it was much easier and faster for me to access some of the necessary characters that way.

äöå

there's some more useless characters. :p

I would like to use this thread to site a grievance I have with USA keyboards, every time I go to type the word Opeth this happens (OPeth). I accidentally capitalize the P because the O and the P are next to one another on the keyboard; I hit the P before I release the shift key. It makes me ever so mad  .

i used to have a french keyboard (it was shipped with my computer) and it took 3 months for them to send a replacement...it took me another 3 months to learn how to type properly again, as i'd gotten used to half the keys being in indifferent places...
