It's virtually impossible to dislike F&L... it's a great movie! Johnny Depp also played much more diverse characters back in the day... that is to say, back before Tim Burton decided to make him play the same type of character in different costumes & makeup, blah.

Nightmare Before Christmas is the only good one. I beat off to Geena Davis quite a bit back in the day, but The Fly was much better for that than Beetlejuice.

Every Johnny Depp movie sucks. No exceptions. Platoon doesn't count since he was practically a throwaway extra.

eh? The 9th Gate, Blow, first POC, Sleepy Hallow, What's Eating Gilbert Grape, Edwards Scissorhands are all good films

forgot about ED WOOD, good performance from johnny as ed wood, great performance by martin landau as bela lugosi as an angry aging heroin addict, making terrible unwatchable z-movies together. great burton atmosphere, and so many hilarious scenes. every time landau opens his mouth and curses someone with that accent and those goddamn eyebrows and ridiculous expressions it's pure gold. as a viewer of many many episodes of MST3K this is quite enjoyable as an actual good movie about bad movies.
