A kid hands in a report for History class on the town of Fucking, Austria. How would a teacher in USA handle that one I wonder? It would be worth the effort just to see the reaction.

Here in NZ there is a place called Whakatane, which is pronounced "Fuck-a-tar-nay". The Maori language is great for that sort of thing. There's this one song in particular we had to sing at school, not often, but whenever there was a maori language class. I forget the proper spelling, or even the meaning of the words, but there was this one part in it which, with correct pronounceation, was "fuck a porno". Everyone used crack up at this, but none of the teachers ever seemed to figure out what was funny......

I travelled up there with my father to see Deep Purple
live. It's in Trønderlag or somewhere, right? What a

What annoyed me the most was all the trønders

Yes, it is in Trøndelag, not far from Værdal'n if I remember correctly.

Trønders and they talk funny, but the funniest is the way they dress.....

Concerning the poor village Fucking: In Austria we also have funny names, actually I know someone with the second name "Ficker", which means someone who´s fucking... Or in Graz there is a baker whos called "Kotzbeck", where I have Problems to translate it properly....
