To me, the loudness of the guitars takes away from the rest of the mix. If the guitars were a tiny bit softer the drums and bass would be much more powerful.

That kick sounds amazing, it fits in with everything so perfect, what did you do as far as processing?

Also, how the hell did you get those acoustic guitars to sound so lush and clear? Did you mic them or plug in to them? What kind of processing? They sound phenomenal

sm7 with some distressor on the way in. LOADS of 1176 (hardware), then just a tiny bit of EQ (like a 2dB boost at 3k I think) and a little bit delay with the delay sent to a verb (pre fader, fader of the delay all the way down)...so you're just hearing the reverb of the delay of the vox.
