Fun with Metal!

I think the only thing scarier than that when driving especially at night is fighting that falling asleep at the wheel feeling. I have nightmares sometimes on actual roads I’ve traveled of that happening:eek:

For sure, I've fallen asleep a few times, and probably been on the verge of falling asleep heaps more. I think I've only done it once in the car and that was after a badly organised GNR gig where I'd been up 28 hours and my brother and a few mates said they'd keep me awake on the 2 hour drive home, but didn't. But in the truck when I've done it I've been alone. The first time I did it I woke up in a park with the truck parked up against a tree, so close that it wouldn't drive forward when I went to take off because a huge branch was pushing against the container. However it wasn't until daylight a few days later I saw the big bushy tree I hit with the right hand side that pretty much pruned it all down left hand side leaving it lopsided, still to this day the tree looks bushier on the right than the left and that was 20 years ago. I also remember another night I was going down the highway and fell asleep, woke up at about 100kph (about 60mph) to the sound of white marker posts bouncing off the passenger side door. I'd given up smoking about a week before but that scared the shit out of me so much at the next service station 20 mins down the road I bought a packet of smokes and smoked 3 of them before I left.

Freaked myself out this morning, I was out for my usual early morning walk, it was dark, extremely foggy (and wet so I found out when I got home). I was coming through a park towards a house that has had security camera on the rear yard for years. I've always wondered what they were watching since they weren't on the house but never really found out. But while I was looking at the red glow of the camera through the fog I thought how cool/annoying would it be to leap out of nowhere and into view of the camera with a Not Man mask on. So there I was walking through the dark amused at the thought of a guy watching his camera after it alerts him to a recorded movement, it's all dark and foggy then out of nowhere all he can see is a huge comical face. Then I thought "fuck what if someone did that to me" and nearly turned around and went home!!
HA! That's hilarious! Ah the mind. An endless source of amusement. Now the real freaky is the fact that they have cameras on their backyard. My first instinct is zombies.

Man. That's terrifying. My brother in law has some stories like that. He flipped his car a couple times.

Haha interesting how different minds work. Mine has always figured they were protecting a garden, who from I didn't know given the height of the fence but maybe that's where your thought comes in.

The thing that worries me about my silly thought was that traditionally one might expect people to be scared by a Freddie mask, or maybe even Jason, but my stupid mind goes to Not Man and it being comically scary.

Thankfully I've never done that, any accident I've had the vehicle stayed upright. Not that I've have a heap of accidents but I have nodded off more times than I should admit to. I've never hit another vehicle and never hurt anyone but myself and that's never been serious. I have hit multitudes of animals from rabbits to wombats (mobile speed humps they are), to kanagroos and cows, but never a human.....well not accidental anyway.

Yeah. Cows are stupid animals (expect those cows with guns, they are wonderful!!). I've run into them with the tractor around the farm, but one morning about day break I came around a blind corner and slammed into a bunch of cows, killed 4 out right, 2 others had to be put down and I spread cow shit all the way down one side of a near new white truck. The farmer reckons he'd had foxes spooking the cattle and some time cows are just stupid enough to run straight through a barbed wire fence. The stupid thing is that in this country if the fence is down the farmer is liable for all damages, if the fence is in tact yet the cows still escaped to the road the liability would have been on me as the driver.

Yeah it was a bit like that. The truck stunk for the rest of the day, it was nearly embarrassing turning up to some shops when the smell arrived before I did :)

Lol. Because Johnny kept turning them down? so they made a character of him and named him Not Man? Butt kissers. I still think he looks like Scott.

According to what I read Charlie said it was because Johnny used to get drunk a lot and do silly things as their manager. But apparently the face itself goes back further to a set of finger puppets, but I have no idea where they came from.

I think they should claim it's Scott just in case they get done for copyright infringement :)
