Heaven and Hell Records will be releasing in May the much anticipated follow-up to The Reticent’s 2008 Amor Mortem Mei Erit.
Over the past few years the mastermind behind The Reticent Chris 'Mordrid' Hathcock has created yet another beautifully conceived opus. Le Temps Detruit Tout delves further into the progressive mind and soul The Reticent; an intelligently crafted album that will certainly challenge the listener both intellectually and emotionally.

I've been given early access to this album and after listening to it a couple of times, this thread deserves a major bump.

Very strong progressive metal release that will surprise a lot of people. The music is beautifully crafted and it sounds epic, melancholic, intense... I think fans of bands like Opeth, Agalloch, Alcest and While Heaven Wept will dig this very much. If this album was being released through Nuclear Blast or some other label, I think there would be a lot more hype about it.

Recommended!!!!!

Seems a little more uptempo than their debut, which I got at Ned's table over at Progpower for a mere $1.99!!!! Did not know what it was, thought it was Power Metal because of the cover, but I was pleasantly surprise as I like very melancholic doom!!! This was seems more progressive and heavier! I got the second one too, but still got to listen to it!!!

It's kind of like While Heaven Wept in my opinion, in the sense that yes, it is "melancholic doom" like you say (though WhW is called Epic Doom), but it's not JUST that. There's a lot more going on, to the point that it becomes hard to simply describe that under a "sub genre".

For instance, I think some fans of Green Carnation will be into this as well.

It is nice to hear the kind words and to see that people like it. I have not heard the material for the next album but I understand that it is yet another big step forward and ill progress even further. Well if anyone can do it the mastermind behind The Reticent can.
