Gaddafi is dead

Gadaffi actually had a pretty good government plan. He gave everyone a house, food, jobs, free healthcare, free meds, free education. It was one of the only countries in the world to have virtually no debt since it lived off it's own production (oil), also one of the only countries in the world that didn't have a Rothschild owned bank. There are only 3 left now, as soon enough you'll see some good ol' western banks opening up there :)

This only happened because he wanted to do things his own way and refused to use american dollar as an exchange. USA, UK, NATO always have their way, if you don't comply then you'll just get killed and covered up as a pretty bad guy.

UK and Russia didn't want to have anything to do with NATO's approach against Gaddafi. Then all of a sudden, you need to choose a side, so you choose the winning side which would obviously be US/NATO, surprisignly now, Russia has contracts to rebuild the motorways, etc. It's all business, just business.

fucking +1000. Just wait to see how their lives gonna "get better" few years from now.

The Libyan government was know for executing dissenters. It was widely considered the most censored state in North Africa/Middle East. Gaddifi provided large bounties for the heads of people that disagreed with him. Talking politics with a foreigner carried a minimum three year prison sentence. After a military coup of the government he abolished the countries constitution. Unemployment was upwards of 20%, a third lived below poverty level.

Here's a nice link describing their health care system: http://www.foreignpolicy.com/articles/2011/04/20/the_improvised_state?page=0,1

Homosexuality was punishable by prison time. A thief could be amputated. He was a war criminal and a well known human rights violator, but I'm sure that was just the oil companies and the Western world conspiring against him. All was well in good in Libya, as long as you shut your mouth and did what you were told.

Applying the same standards, Saddam Hussein did a lot to stabilize the Middle East and keep religious zealots at bay, Stalin made the Soviet Union one of the most industrialized nations in the world and was champion of women's rights, and Hilter was a great job creator who restored the German economy.

If you love human rights so much that you would praise his jobs and healthcare plans, you should be fucking outraged that he was allowed to rule for so long executing people who thought differently than he did or were foreigners, forget the Lockerbie bombing. But you know you're right, I'd rather be brutally oppressed for thinking differently than my leaders than having a Rothschild owned bank.

Roy i am not defending him, i am only pointing the fact that for the people, the new situation will most probably be not as rainbow colored as they think now.

Nope.

They got a big military help from them though - no enemy airforce to fight against for example.

they were also publicly begging for that military help for over a month or so before any actions were even discussed

i am only pointing the fact that for the people, the new situation will most probably be not as rainbow colored as they think now.

It seldom is but at least, for all intents and purposes, they will have a choice in deciding what happens to them rather than not

look what just happened in Tunisia

Mutant, I know you weren't defending him. I certainly 100% agree with your posts in this thread. Life will more than likely not be much better than it was under Gaddafi, but it seemed that some of the posts here were rather delusional in their defense of him.

Roy you just don't understand. Gaddafi was actually killed by Ipads and vegans because he opposed their Rothchild zionist plot for world domination. It so obvious how could you miss it?

soooooo .... the people that rose up and revolted against him, that INITIATED all of this

Not trying to be a d*ck, but would be beyond naive if you actually think some extremely poor, ragged-ass Lybians ''INITIATED all of this''!

No oil (2011):

European countries (led by Sarkozy) actually took their time to discuss and agree unto what % of the aftermath each was going to be entitled to, before NATO initiated air strikes.

If you give them oil or 41 years, better not tell them 'no' on the 42th ;)

no I don't think you're being a dick .. just think its conspiracy theory drivel to think "western" powers were behind this, especially for everyone's favorite Macguffin "oil"

as in "no war for oil" ... yeah, sure, THAT'S what happened

before the Iraq war I paid $1.90 for a gallon of gas ... since about 2006 I've been paying between $3.50 - $4.25 a gallon with NO change in sight

and before anyone bitches about the fact that they've been paying that much or more for gas their whole life in european or other countries .. keep in mind we do have a rather large domestic supply which is part of the reason we pay less. We don't get our lights turned off by Russia everytime we piss them off

However, so as not to make this seem like an argument or any negative feelings or whatever, keep in mind that topics like this will always produce heated debates because everyone feels a certain way about certain things

agree to disagree. I just don't like to read too much "western bashing" because its become far too fashionable these days, even when unwarranted

Watch out guys SkinnyVicking is one of "them". And by them I mean one of the sheepeople that are controlled by the draco alien hybrid shape shifting trans dimensional overlords that control the world. Don't forget the corporations too, they actually invented cavities and gum disease to sell you expensive dentistry.

Just read some David Icke books. He has it all figured out.

he's my facebook buddy ... Tsoukaliscious!!!

I never miss an episode of Ancient Aliens

I'm actually gonna get one of the t-shirts they just started selling with his crazy hair

That's because the invasion was unsuccessful and your money went away in the effort. If the US would own Iraqi oil reserves, your gas price would probably be lower.

Commodity prices have surprisingly little to do with supply and demand. Iraq is producing about 3% of the worlds petroleum right now. The US prodcues three times as much, only slightly less than Saudi Arabia. Although considering the developments in the Macellus and Bakken shale plays, and some good looking news coming from the Tuscaloosa shales, don't be surprised if the US passes Saudi Arabia. Libya has some fairly large reserves, but as of right now I wouldn't expect to see large amounts of production from North Africa in the next decade.

Look, like I said before, agree to disagree.

Only thing that gets a bit tiresome is how you speak about these things as if you were in the meetings.
