I'm trying to figure out the Hm-2 settings and amp settings for NMF and I'm trying to overlay a distortion on my Hm-2 to get that RTC sound.
Bloodbath members: any chance of helping a bloke out?
[and, er, releasing the lyrics to Nightwork?]

The lyrics I have for The Eerie Obzidian Circuz sound about right to me:

Bloodstained lips drawn back from teeth,
To reveal a wide, humourless grin;
Lifeless eyes in a cold black stare,
Three years in the grave - Undead presence....

Riding the winds of harvest,
Bloodline of the sand and soul;
Miracles of the undeserted,
Descending from the vault above! (x2)

When the cirkuz comes to town,
Beware of who's the clown;
Drawn to jolly children laughter,
The Devilman is here in after! (x2)

Bloodstained lips drawn back from teeth,
To reveal a wide humourless grin;
Lifeless eyes in a cold black stare,
Three years in the grave - Undead presence....

Demons clad in black,
Demons don't wear white!

Tearing you apart! (x4)

You could try to google it, but I prefer listening to the song and trying to do it like that - give it time and then you can understand what is being said in most tracks you listen to.

To be fair, I'll give Anders a little more time before I put my old sig back up.

But yea... any chance of us fans getting the amp and pedal settings?

Yeah I'd love to see the amp and pedal settings! Actually, I made a patch in my Digitech GNX3 that sounds pretty decent to me...I played Buried by the dead and So you die like a month ago at school and it really kicked ass...anyways...if anyone is interested in getting "my" settings, let me know

Gimme. :)

Here it is:

Well, the key for the Bloodbath tone I got is the combination (Hypermodeling = warped amps, both at the middle) of two amps with : a Modern Gain (based on a Marshall JCM900, Gain 99, Level 99) and a Fuzz (based on aVintage distortion, Gain 85, Level 99), each one with eq in the middle (I dialed Bass 6, Mid 6 -2300 Hz- and Treble 6 -2300 Hz- ) and a Metal Zone stompbox for adding cutting edge (dist, mid frequency, mid level and level set at 50). I think the important elemments here are the fuzz sound, the gain of the marshall and maybe you can replace the metal zone for the heavy metal...to get that killer saw tone

Remember that this patch was made on a Digitech GNX3, if anybody wants THE patch (the *.g3p file) drop me a mail and I'll mail it back :Smug:

Good luck Jinn and everyone :headbang:

Hmm, alrighty. All I need now is a Digitech GNX3.

I think one of my band's guitarists has one... I'll swipe it off of him and tell ya how it goes.

Holy christ on a popsicle stick this is an old thread!!!

I haven't found anything, but I have found that with the proper setting on the HM-2, you get a kickass tone for playing Black Sabbath riffs!

Try one Ibanez SH-7, I get some great tones through my HM-2.
The SH-7 has a really hard distortion you should get some tones as Bloodbath does...I can

So did anyone end up finding out what the settings were?

Yeah my friend had a cousin who actually found the exact settings for the sound. I dont remember how but he just couldnt stop playing the guitar after this 'cause the sound is so fucking awesome. Though, my friend told me that when he visited his cousin a few weeks later he was acting kinda strange. Sometimes he got this grotesque face and mumbled some strange shit. One day my pal walked in on him and he was actually standing on his knees facing the buzzing amps, he was moving kinda awkward and made these hideous mumbeling sounds over and over, like posessed. My pal freaked and went to get his cellphone in his car to call for help or something, when he passed the doorway the door slamed behind his back and he couldnt open it. He could still hear the deathmetal-buzz through the door and then he heard a series of strange sounds, some scraping followed by electricity and then a monstrous growl and a couple of dull wet thuds. He kicked the door open... all he saw was flesh and blood! Gore everywhere. He could see parts of the torso inside the torn amp, it looked like he had crawled into it and then exploded for some unknown reason.

So be careful! This sound is not for everyone to play around with! :zombie:
