The Last Kingdom, if it's something that's flown under your radar. Just finished binge watching it, and while I think Vikings has a few more really interesting characters, The Last Kingdom does quite a few things better (aside from a language issue...).
Currently on Netflix. Also, I can't ever see the main character on screen and not instantly think of Geralt of Rivia.
