Dopefish lives!
Hey, it's illegal to make the site and post the stuff on it, but I can't believe anyone would think it's illegal to bring other people's attention to it! (same with a cracked VST website, it'd be frowned upon, but just saying "here it is, take it or leave it!" hardly seems over the line)
I dunno if something similar exists in US law, but about 10 years ago a German court returned a verdict that makes people co-responsible (where appropriate) for the content of linked websites if they don't explicitly distance themselves from the content of those websites.
And there was a big uproar a few years ago (and still going on) because another verdict made operators of message boards like this responsible for the content of its users' posts.
... Then there was another verdict saying that the users are responsible for the content of their posts and that the operator could only be held responsible if he doesn't remove explicit posts upon notice and/or isn't able or isn't willing to reveal the identity of the user(s).
What basically means you're potentially fucked if you can't confirm the details (address) of your users.
