christ, I had no idea how huge Opeth's forum was. You'd think they were mainstream for fuck's sakes!

Anyway, what's this about their album 'Deliverance'? I haven't seen it yet... when did it come out??

It will be released in several weeks, those who lack patience "only" talk about leaked mp3s.

Deliverance is the first album of 2 and it's going to be released on 4 November in Europe (11 November USA). It's the first "part" of this project. It features 6 songs with an overall length of 61 minutes. The second "part" of that project called "Damnation" is going to be released sometime in March 2003. Sounds very interesting, maybe i'll buy it.
Seems to be something like what Ulver did with the Silence ep's...
I heard that one CD is supposed to be hard and the other one more silently, we'll see...

And about the band's forum, yes it is indeed huge...

Yea, everyone is dling the leaked MP3s...Me, I'd rather wait for the album. I'm patient about it. I don't think I've seen a release date anywhere. Can't be too long though since it's already on Pre-Order at the End.

hey thanks. Yeah I thought that it was out already and I had just somehow missed it. November 11th you say? Hell, that's my favorite day of the year! (Nov. 11th is Rememberance Day up here in Canada... for us soldiers we do a parade and then piss it up around town, talk to veterans, and just have a good time).

I've got a copy of the promo CD, so I've not had to download the album (I bought this CD because I try my best to collect Opeth stuff, I've got inifinite patience, but seeing this soon-to-be collectable on offer for £4 was more than enough to gain my interest).

Good album... definietely better than the disppointing BWP.

You didn't like their last one? Well, I really enjoy tracks 2 and 3, and I guess the rest aren't as impressive as most of their other stuff.

I thought the first half of BWP was pretty good, but the rest of it was a real letdown, cumbersome and completely lacking flow.

For some reason, the other day I had Damnation and Deliverance mixed up....I thought Damnation was supposed to be the harder cd of the 2. I was corrected hehe .

I can see where I thought that though.
