George Lucas:Destroyer of Rainbows

Ugh, yes every new decision he makes is for the worst.

That said, I am a total fucking whore and will be buying THE SHIT out of the new blu ray set.
I am the reason he is able to make more shitty decisions.

OH...AGgGggHh.... damn you... both of you...

When I first read about this, I thought it was saying they totally overdubbed Alec Guiness with Ewan McGregor. I would have exploded...

I really don't understand. I understand being a perfectionist, and I definitly understand doing things for continuity sake, but this stuff is stupid. He's changing the story!

And also, I just hate stuff like this. I like the movie being the way it is. I bought Terminator 2 on dvd. But it's the extended version. I can't stand it. They knew what to cut for theaters, because the movie with all the added stuff is so goddamn boring...

I'm more excited by the supposed added footage in the bluray sets. Like the scenes with Luke and Biggs on Tattooine, which I assume were restored in some fancy CGI manner.

I have not bought a Star Wars movie since I bought the special edition VHS when they first came out, and was very much looking forward to the Blu-Ray editions. But each time new information comes out about them, the less likely I'll give a shit. I think the biggest offender of all of the bad news so far to me is that Lucas isn't even doing a true "modern" transfer and we're basically going to get a first generation Blu-Ray. It will basically be barely above the DVDs that have been out for years in terms of picture quality.

It's probably so in another three or four years we can buy the "Ultra Special Edition 3D" since he's also supposedly reworking all six for 3D and the theaters again. How much shit is that?
Also, the "Noooooo" change is fucking stupid, and takes so much away from that scene it's not even funny.

Han needs to do the galaxy a favor and save us from Lucas' dimentia by taking him outside to the back of the cantina and shooting first.
