First off, what kind of a moron makes a current event analogue relating to a prescribed event occurring more than a decade ago. You can only get away with something of that sort when you're using an older, legendary, historical event compared to the newer, not vice versa.
Secondly, the initial opening of your analogue should not be such a controversial opinion, especially when the purpose is to open up a thriving discussion on the target of said analogue. The way you're doing it, you're likely to have more of a discussion on the presidency than the band, which is redirecting your ambitions and pirating your thread and discussion agenda.
