George W Bush is to the US presidency as...

Well, he wasn't fit for Iron Maiden, that's for sure. His solo work shows what he's capable of, and it's clear that he wasn't in his place in Maiden.
well I heard a version of the Trooper with Blaze and it sure doesn't sound as good as with Bruce, but listen to Judgment Day, it's not bad at all. But all in all, I would agree he wasn't fit for Iron Maiden and I do like his solo stuff better.

Yep there's some songs he actually does better than Bruce, like Afraid to Shoot Strangers, for instance. But overall, he's much better solo because there he has the freedom to do what he wants instead of having to follow Maiden-like vocal lines.

And let's not forget that Bruce Dickinson's footprints are big ones to fill. Although Blaze never wore those stupid pants Bruce wore.

i didnt think he was that bad for Maiden. yes, we all are used to Bruce, but i actually think X Factor is a pretty decent album, with the exception of a few songs. i'm glad they at least tried going in a different direction, unlike JP.

JP has gone in several direction from proto-metal to pop rock to synth pop to Speed metal. So yea, at least Maiden tried. :)

As for Blaze in Maiden I did not think he was suited for the band at all. Being used to someone in a band doesn't really sit as the idea to me here. As I was fine with Ripper in his time with JP and IE, etc etc.

Trek > Wars

My sig > Your sig
First off, what kind of a moron makes a current event analogue relating to a prescribed event occurring more than a decade ago. You can only get away with something of that sort when you're using an older, legendary, historical event compared to the newer, not vice versa.

Secondly, the initial opening of your analogue should not be such a controversial opinion, especially when the purpose is to open up a thriving discussion on the target of said analogue. The way you're doing it, you're likely to have more of a discussion on the presidency than the band, which is redirecting your ambitions and pirating your thread and discussion agenda.

Furthermore, you have to be a fucking retard to compare a recent political figure to Blaze, it's like apples and oranges. Even such a well thought out analogue can't make you look less dumb. All it does is show that you're trying to hide the fact that you're a blatant tool instead of expressing satisfaction at your lack of originality.

As for your Star Trek vs Star Wars comment, I could care less about the opinion of a douchebag.

Finally, as far as the "your signature vs my signature debate", I feel that would be getting too personal, and honestly, I'm not a big fan of personal belittlement.

Conclusion: This thread blows and so does your dim-witted retort.

Hmm, I only thought that the analogy was mildly clever and, as such, might encourage creative and varied responses on the metal side, the political side, or the "wacky Nevermore forum non-sequitor" side. That's all. Your contribution was "this thread blows"...fair enough. Thanks for playing and enjoy the home game, my man.

However, may I point out that in the post quoted above you refer to me as a "moron, fucking retard, blatant tool, deuchebag, and dim-witted" even though you are "not a big fan of personal belittlement".

What's up with that?

Maybe you should lighten up a bit...if possible.
