As a reward from my band director for helping to clean out the untouched-for-decades storage room in my High School's auditorium, I was given this utterly bitchin old powered mixer, which I assume is in working condition (though I haven't really known how to test it, seeing as how I don't have any PA speakers). Behold...

Anyway, I was wondering, in short: would this be of any use in recording? Basically, I've been trying to figure out ways to get more than the two inputs that my M-Audio Delta 2496 card allows me, and people always say a mixer is the best bet. I doubt they were talking about one this old however, especially because it lacks XLR's, but in short, is it at all usable in any way?

Wow that's a crazy looking powered mixer. How many watts? What brand is it? Typically powered mixers are designed for live applications only, so it may not be the greatest signal in the world, but you could probably use that to go to your audio interface if it has some kind of line out. Just don't connect your interface to the speaker outs and you should be OK!
