Won't be long now!
As a first timer (blimey it's like admitting you're a virgin) at Bloodstock I was wondering if anyone could give us a bit of crack about what to expect, like;
what time do you need to go in to catch the 1st band?
is ther big queues?
will they take my camera /studded belt/stash of special brew etc off me at the door?
does it get hot inside/is there somewhere to put a jacket/bag?
whats beer like/price?
Whats the best local pub/kebab shop?

You get the picture!

See you there !!

Get to the door for opening as it can take a bit of time. All 3 of your items will indeed be removed (pretty strict on cameras/booze). Doesnt get that hot unless you are wedged in at the front. Yes there is a cloakroom where you can also leave bags etc. Beer is a basic choice at pub prices. Dont know about pub/kebab shop as I dont like kebabs and I have yet to venture into one of the nearby pubs (maybe will this year before Saxon etc on Friday). Its a great day on the Saturday.... enjoy.

Dont forget to be there bright and early on the saturday morning to see Cruel Humanity (2nd band Darwin stage)...

you'll have a blast man ... see you there

pubs: theres 2 local metal/rock pubs. The Victoria Inn (Metal/Rock but mostly punk ... near train station) & The Sitwell (Biker pub ... near Supernova/Rockhouse night club)

Take Away: Derby's fuckin covered in Take aways, theres a couple very very near the Assembly room, the best is Nads, not only does it have a funny name it not to bad n'all.

Beer is quite pricey @ the assembly rooms, was last time i went anyway.
