As the light in your eyes
Fade from your lifeless body
Transcending on your way out

I was listening to Out and i decided to point out that fade should be fades. ok.....that is all. (here come the bombardment of insults and "stfu"s)

Oh yea.....i do realize that ironically, i spelled "grammar" wrong in the title. just savin you guys the time and trouble of adding it to your bombardments.

Huh?? How can an s mean past tense? A d would..

To fade:

Present
I fade
you fade
he/she/it fades
we fade
they fade

Past
I faded
you faded
he/she/it faded
we faded
they faded

In the lyrics fade refers to the light.. the light fades.. so with an s I would say!

it should be FadeS because its the light thats doing the fading not the eyes. most verbs get Ss at the end of them for singular nouns. taking away "in your eyes" it would be "As the light...fades away"

I thought you were going to comment on the "now your on your own", but yeah you're right here too. It should either be "fades" or "lights".

But meh you know what they mean, right?

Hard to explain, but it works rather well as is in poetic form, even as 2 seperate strands of thought in the same chorus.

I should of paid attention more in english :p But I know the way they put that is right in a poetic sense.

If you read it in this way it makes sense (to me anyway):

(In the same way) As the light in your eyes (is fading,)
Fade from your lifeless body
Transcending on your way out
