Does anyone know what gear this band uses?

I discovered this band by accident and I'm really digging their sound. I don't know how well-known these guys are, but there's not much details about it to be found with google.

Here are some songs for your convenience. I would like to experiment using a similar tone on a song I wrote recently which is also kind of that genre of doom/sludge/whatever, but since i'm just starting out, it would really help to get some pointers as to what amp etc this could be.

1 minute in - best riff ever!

thanks

Really appreciate these guys music since many years. Great riffage and sound.

From what I recall someone that knows them telling: they use Gibson SG's into Laney VH100 R heads. I was also told that they are using pretty much the stock Gibson pickups in their guitars. As for the rest I don't remember, sry...

On their latest album they used a Hagström Swede > Marshall Shredmaster > 5150 and a Gibson SG Faded > Laney VH100R. Both guitarists double tracked their parts and we used a Orange PPC412HP8 cab for all the rhythm guitars. For Bass they used a Fender Aerodyne. The main distorted bass sound comes from Sans Amp RPM. All the vocals were recorded with a Sm-7B.

Great info. And good job, it sounds killer! :headbang:

WOW
i thought it was a stretch to expect more than an educated guess from someone with some experience in amp tones, but to have info like this from the studio that actually mixed it is beyond amazing!

Thank you for sharing and keep up the good work!
Great band and great sound!
