I really want some Tabs for shit off ghost revries, i could try and work it out but the chords they use are crazy, i think its paertly due to the tuning on some songs but still its crazy stuff.

And im sick of shit tabs, you know the ones. The ones that you swear by then try and play along to the song then it just sounds like shit!

Timewise, these songs make up the bulk of the album, and they're all in dropped D...

It's a variation of an open D. Not dropped. DADFAE I believe was the tuning used for those 4 songs.

Aren't they all playable in drop-D though? That's what bothers me about Ghost Reveries. I don't think they really took advantage of the alternate tuning. Comes across as a bit of a gimmick.

From what I remember, a lot of the chords would end up being weirdly shaped if they were played in straight drop D. I could be wrong though. It's been awhile since I've attempted any of the GR songs, or even looked at tabs for them.

You could obviously play them in dropped-D, only shifting the G, b, and e string notes down two frets. It would make it more difficult in a lot of places, though there's no real purpose to it. It takes like 30 seconds to tune down those three strings.

Your right, It's a Dm (add9) which in the key of D you would add an E, I thought it was just a plain old Dm, sorry
