I wasn't sure on what Lead panning you preferred. I did Lead1 Centre, Lead2 70 Left and Lead3 70 Right. Rhythm tracks were recorded on the Lead Channel. Lead tracks were recorded on the Rhythm Channel.

I have only used the 6505 for these ones, sorry no Krank. I had a little less time today than I thought.

Some observations (not criticism, dont have a cow):

Cryo114, your DI's are a bit noisy, particularly the Lead ones. You will have to edit out the background noise in the "stop" parts between riffs.

-J-, your DI's are a bit noisy also and does that guitar have a trem? I can hear what sounds like spring noise at the "stops". Maybe put some foam in the spring cavity.

Keregioz, I did both versions for you. The first sounded more natural, although boomier.

Moonlapse, what DI were those DI's tracked with? They are super low. Not noisy at all, but super low level.

Haha, you can upload multiple files with Dropbox easily. Just copy them all into the 'Public' folder under the 'My Dropbox' folder, which is in 'My Documents' (provided you installed their software - which is worth doing btw).

@The DIs: Yeah the guy who recorded them seemed to have recorded everything at a super low level. He's of a different school of thought regarding recording levels. He'd rather risk resolution loss and noise floor than accidental clipping.

Thanks alot man, i was actually considering a 6505 so this is great and as I suspected, even with my crappy playing and tuning (these tracks are something like 3 years old!) the tone is still a whole lot better. Its actually quite surprising how much better they are.

And rhythm on lead and lead on rhythm? Whats that about?

No Probs Cryo, check out the WAV's when they are uploaded as I am sure with some EQ it will sound even better.

Not a problem, i knew they were a bit on the low volume side so I'd already anticipated having to do that that. I was more concerned that it would have been a problem for you in the reamping (I'm not that familiar with the process).

jesus, you've got bat ears or something thanks for the tip on the foam! count me out of this round, I'm leaving for a vacation tomorrow. not even sure if I'd even be able to lower the noise with my current gear.

ill download the wavs a bit later on and blend em in with the krank hopefully!!
