Give me something to drum to this weekend..

Well, got nothing much on this weekend and no work to do so, I think I'll work some more on the drum tones I'm getting.

If anyone wants to post a song they want real drums put over, I'll give it a go. Unfortunately my setup at the moment is pretty effing terrible (you'll have to replace kick and toms, and the stereo overheads I've got aren't great so I've got a 3rd overhead to add some highend). Samples of all the drums will be posted up after I'm done.

Not much else to say, but don't expect me to play ridiculously fast double bass through a whole song. But for most of the stuff people post here I should be ok to play.


So, post an mp3 and the tempo and I'll record them tomorrow and Sunday for free.

95 wasn't the right tempo and I couldn't find the right one. Plus the track is really.. odd. Dunno if I'll be able to do it tomorrow, I'd probably have to learn the song first with all its time sig changes n stuff :/

I may have undersold the quality of the tracks a bit. Here's a bit of what I recorded today, no sample replacement. Tom mics aren't in there and kick needs replacing but the rest is alright.

We could perhaps get some collaboration thing going, I normally dish out a couple songs a week IF I'm feeling it.
You get songs to play, I get real drums (Really need the mixing)
Anyways, the newer songs I'll make sure to make a version without the drums

Ok, I did Forceps and Rockchop's songs today. Snare was tuned pretty low for a really rocky sound. Here's a mixed sample of Forcep's, I tried to mimic the Underoath cymbal compression. Maybe a bit too much.. I'm not working with the greatest tracks :/ Kick is replaced (mic is farked), rest is natural.

Forceps I'll upload the separate tracks tomorrow or Tuesday when I'm at uni. Rockchops.. I won't have time to edit yours today and there's a lot of double bass, etc. so I can either send you the unedited tracks and you do it (might be good to learn), or you'll have to wait til I get a chance to do it.

And AgeOf, send me some stuff you're working on and I'll see if I like it

Hey, are you still up for doing any more?

If so, here's a song that I've been working on with my band, the other guitarist wrote it but I'm doing all the recording and mixing. Neither of us are drummers so a lot of the beats are a bit dodgy. So feel free to play around with anything/everything!

Cool, whenever you have time in the future Hopefully by then I will have recorded most of the rhythm and bass so it should be a lot easier if you're still up for it.
