I was just having a look through the January Austar TV guide and on MusicMax there is a Glam Special!

Date: 4th and 5th of January 2004
Channel: MusicMax (#28 on Austar, not sure what it is on Foxtel)
Time: Noon to 7pm both days (AEDST)

This what the article said in the guide:

Its All About the hair this weekend as MusicMax pays tribute to the band who pushed personal grooming to the very limit. From the late 70's to the mid 80's, "hair metal" bands like Poison, Warrant, Twisted Sister and Bon Jovi spawned their own ozone holes and some kickin' rock 'n' roll. Relive great memories (and shocking hair styles) all weekend!

i know they say that but Warrant weren't around till the late 80's early 90's weren't they?
there was some awesome glam in the late 80's/early 90's

AWESOME! I'll have to go to someone's house with it coz I dont have it anymore!

Yeah most glam came out in the late '80s! Even though the most raw and "geniune" sounding glam was early-mid '80s (as in being influenced by 70s hard rock, glitter rock and metal like Kiss, Alice Cooper, New York Dolls, Judas Priest and Aerosmith etc rather than being influenced by itself and being a clone)... I love it all and lots of AWESOME glam came out in the late '80s.. and that stuff generally either had much better pop sensibilities and accessibility, especially bands like Warrant who although every lyric/riff/stage move/tattoo was extremely planned to become a commercial success it worked because it was so good... or they upped the level of sleaze and attitude even more than the early '80s bands for example Spread Eagle and Vain, and that rocked too.

LONG LIVE GLAM! :headbang:

Oh yeah, and Warrant's first album was 1988 :) That's my fave one, and I don't care what anyone *cough*Mark*cough* says about them, they ROCKED. Not a bad track on the album! Then Cherry Pie in '90 at times was even better but I prefer the debut coz there are a couple of tracks on Cherry Pie I could do without, and a couple of songs could've been improved (like getting rid of some acoustic guitars or getting rid of the gay pianos in Love In Stereo).

Dog Eat Dog rocks too but is overrated coz sooo many people say "It's their best and most underrated album!" haha but the first 2 shit on it.

Ultraphobic is pretty good, though it sounds nothing like glam Warrant at all, so you would probably hate it Troops :) It sounds more like a less heavy Alice In Chains :)

holy shit.
Cheers for the heads up, Ima have to buy some videos and tape this motherfucker!

last time I did something as ambitious as this, it was 13 hours of The Tom Green show. I have two full series on four tapes!

I used to watch RockMAX every Monday night which showed lots and lots of those clips and I taped every hair metal clip they showed on rockMAX so unless they have new ones I think I have them all... but it wasn't 14 hours worth so maybe they do have more! Or maybe they'll play some multiple times and mix in live footage or something?
