Hey Stockton! I was cheering for both teams tonight, LOL....I didn't care who won, I just wanted a good game. And after the first quarter was over, we got one! The only thing that I don't like, though, is that Jake Delhomme should have been the MVP for the game. Ah well. At least it was fun to watch, with the great long passes from Delhomme and the great runs from the Pats... Congrats to you, though, on the win. :)

Is this a comment on the matchup, or football in general? If it is on American football, I personally find soccer/football a bit dull (except for the World Cup b/c of its hugeness). 1-0, 2-1 --- come on frickin score. And how can anyone like Man U with the huge salary advantage they have. They are the Yankees. Football is awesome b/c there is a cap, and thats why a team from Charlotte can go 1-15 two years ago, and go to the SB with some shrewd player & coaching decision. As it turned out, it might have been the greatest SB ever in terms of excitement. Not really a fan, but I would have preferred the Panthers to win, b/c they were the underdogs, and especially now we have to listen to the typical Boston superfluous commentary from the media. Bob Ryan is going to talk this up like it was better experience than having a child or awesome sex.

Did anyone do a double take, when Justin Timberlake rip off Janet Jackson's bra? We were all like 'Was that a boob'? Funny.

Just stirring things up this Monday

Love the Yankees, always have, always will. Money cannot buy championships, just ask the NY Mets, LA Dodgers, Boston Red Sox and the NHL's NY Rangers. Its no crime for a team that generates the most revenue to actually spend the most. If I were an owner, I know I would. But I do agree that soccer is dull. But to me so is the World Cup.

Soccer? Yawn......for me, anyway. And yep, we were like 'what the...?' during the Justin/Janet thing....his comment was funny though - calling it an 'equipment failure' - like what was he EXPECTING to have happen? LOL - the whole thing was a mess anyway....a halftime show from hell....Dave, what was that you said? "I weep for America" I think...so true. Ah well. It was a hell of a game though at least. I still think Jake Delhomme was the MVP though, even though the final score was what it was.C'mon spring training! :) At least I can catch the Av's once in a while on ESPN!

Football is great and all, but the Super Bowl really means only one thing to me...

17 days until pitchers and catchers report for Spring Training!!!!

GO Giants!!!

yup american "football"( come on they use their **** hands most of the time) bores me... I don´t get it( same with baseball) the players only advance like an inch in 10 seconds and then it´s cut to commercials!

"Soccer" or proper football can be exciting at times and dramatic however when the score is 0-0... yes it´s dull then but more than 2 goals : I´m satisfied most of the time and it's not just the goals it's the playing, tactics, attempts

While your point is valid, yyz, there's no doubt in my mind that what baseball allows a team like the yankees to do is bad for the sport. The league might as well just let them spend their money on the installation of a portable outfield wall, so that when the yankees bat they can bring it onto the infield grass.

Sean, I'm with you, man. My ticker says 17 days, 23 hours, 56 minutes, and 49 seconds. :)

Guys I like baseball and all, but 162 games is way too long. I wish they would shorten the season to 120-130 games, and have a playoff of 3 division winners, and 3 wild cards. Playoff baseball is so much more exciting. But that will never happen. My god, all the baseball purists would strike, if they shorten the season. And think about all the stats getting screwed up. Hell the 61 HRs Maris hit in '61 were put it the record books with an asterik, b/c the season was longer than when Ruth hit 60. I hate the purists and the lack of a cap. Improve the game, so the casual fan will come back, otherwise the baseball fanbase will continue to decline. At least the Os got off their cheap asses (Angelos ---- ), and signed some players. I actually am I little interested this year.

I love American football. It is the most cerebral game out there. I'll give an example. Tom Brady hit TE Graham on a 33 yard seam route, b/c the Panthers were in a cover two zone and the WR ran a medium out pattern. The Free Safety committed to helping out the CB, thus opening up the middle for the TE seam pass. All of this happening in a matter of 3 secs. Once you understand football, and the orchestration behind successful teams, you will be hooked. Nothing beats College and NFL to me. Maybe if I was a fan of the Arizona Cardinals I would think differently, but you never know, maybe they, the Seahawks, the Browns, the Jaguars, the Texans, the Saints, or the Lions will make it to their first SB next year.
