I will be in Chicago between September 21st-30th can anyone help me with finding out what gigs are on between those dates,also is there any good metal clubs and shops there that I could check out,thanks

For shops: www.metalhavenchicago.com. They have a cubic shitload of stuff. I've never been there but my friend went and said it's awesome.

Also, the House Of Blues has a lot of gigs. Again, not sure who's playing when as I don't live there but maybe this can start you off...

Oasis One-sixty (http://www.oasisonesixty.com/) sometimes has a good metal show or two. I'd check them out.
Also, Champs Rock Room in sw suburban Burbank has a lot of good bands there Friday and Saturday nights. (Champs Rock Room 5728 W. 87th Street Burbank, IL 708 / 499-4140)

Overkill is playing somewhere in Chicago on the 22nd. Not sure where though.

Overkill is at Synergy in W. Chicago, but it's the 17th. (They're in Cleveland on the 22nd according to their website.)

If your into the death/grind thing, Cephalic Carnage at the Fireside Bowl on the 22nd is probably your best bet.

There used to be a cool metal shop on Belmont called "The Alley", but the last time I was there it was all weirded out alternative crap. Haven't been there in a couple of years though, so I don't know what it's like now.
