I'll be in LA from the 23rd (getting in at 11.50 on the 22cd) to the 27th for a Jiu Jitsu tournament. Any of you LA folks up for a night of celebration, whether I survive the tournament in the top 3 or not?

Yep, the tournament is at the place with the pyramid. I think I'm staying about 15 minutes away, near UC San Domingo. But I am all up for being social.

It's all good, you've got stuff to take care of. I'll be back mid-December anyway for my main tournament. With all of them being out there, makes me wonder why I live on the East coast still.

Thanks guys. That's the hope, and the way my teammates are kicking my ass, I have no doubt that I'll do well. But I'm just hoping to have fun this time around and spare myself the pre-fight nerves.

Quick update before I leave....No video will be allowed for my division, and I'm only fighting on Thursday. I guess not enough were interested in the open class, so they nixed it. My guess on the video, is that they will be issuing their own DVD of all the divisions, so if anyone is interested, I'll PM you a link on where to buy it once it's released.

Results, as promised...

I lost my first match, to the girl who won Pan-ams and won second place today. Even she agreed, that it wasn't cool that we got seeded together, as her other opponents were much easier. Hearing that made my day, as well as the insistence to train with her next time I'm in Scandinavia. Not to mention, that she was almost worried she broke my ankle, since the hyper-flexibility is a benefit of mine. The only problem, is it's also coupled with lack of pain sensory. So, off to the hot tub with me to make sure I can walk on it in the morning.

I am thoroughly enjoying myself, and with this out of the way, any local tournament I ever do is gonna be child's play.

And here I go again. This time, it'll be from Dec. 13th - 17th. The tournament is on a Saturday, so I have more time to be social (not to mention, no teammates to have to leave my car with).

BTW, if you don't catch me this time, I have 3 more trips scheduled between March and June.
